Teaching yoga has been a dream of mine ever since I was a teenager. I grew up in Japan, started yoga, and immediately fell in love. I moved to California in the eighties to join a volunteer group called Up With People. To make a long story short, I became a single mom raising a small child. During that time, my health declined due to overwhelming stress from overwork and over studying. It got to the point that my body couldn’t function anymore. I had to go back to Japan so my parents could take care of me and my boy.
I couldn’t even feed myself. I had terrible eye pain, lost lots of muscle mass since I was in bed all the time, and started developing lower back, shoulders and neck pain. I couldn’t even go outside because I became too sensitive to sunlight. I was a 100 year old woman physically. Throughout all the pain and hardship my love for yoga persisted. I started to do yoga again little by little in those dark days and my body loved it. Yoga really helped to regain all my lost strength and health. I came back to the States, and decided to teach. Yoga is the best thing that happened to me and I knew I could help other people heal their mind and body. I really understand peoples pain.
I’ve been teaching yoga for more than 20 years now. I helped many people over the years. I also started to teach Pilates Reformer to compliment yoga. I truly believe anyone can heal their body. If you have any questions, please call me any time. I’d love to hear from you and I’d love to meet you. I look forward to serving you soon.
